2nd Annual Cody, Wyoming Field of Honor® A Great Success

Remember • Honor • Heal

On June 10 – 15, 2013 at the Park County Complex the Field of Honor® flew 1000 flags.

Cody’s supportive community united to remember and honor our local and national heroes as well as special people for the week of June 10 – 14th by flying 1000 flags.  Thank you to all who participated in purchasing a flag, enjoying the field, listening to the special guest speakers as well as to those who participated as a volunteer to make the event a success.

1st Annual Cody, Wyoming Field of Honor

The 1st Annual Cody, Wyoming Field of Honor featured 800 flags flying at the Park County Complex in Cody for an entire week. What a spectacular sight!!!

Also, the Cody Volunteer Fire Department brought their ladder truck and flew  their 25′ x 60′ flag over the Field of Honor.  Governor Matt Mead was the keynote speaker on Flag Day, June 14.

All the flags were purchased by local citizens and dedicated  to veterans, active military, first responders or loved one who had been special in their lives.  Proceeds from the sale of the flags were given to Cody Heritage Museum for the continued renovation of the DeMaris which will become the museum of Cody history from its start to the present..
